The Vacuum / Vac Lock is a safety mechanism designed with a spring action cover which holds the pool cleaner hose in place and will snap close the suction fitting automatically when not in use. When not in use make sure cover flap has been snapped firmly in place. 6. NEVER operate a pool/spa with an uncovered suction outlet or vacuum port.***
